Vertu Motors, one of the largest automotive retailer groups in the UK, has agreed a new two-year solus agreement with Movex, the specialist logistics platform for vehicle movements. The multi-site franchise dealer group, responsible for the sale of a variety of well-known marques, will utilise Movex’s platform for each of its 155 dealers nationwide.

Vertu Motors will be utilising Movex’s platform for retail, interbranch movements and standard collection and deliveries. Since going live in May 2021, the group has already placed over 7,000 deliveries, and estimates it will place 30,000+ deliveries each year.

David Crane, Chief Operating Officer at Vertu Motors said: “We selected Movex as our logistics partner, and we’re very happy with how well things are going.  We are particularly impressed with the real time reporting which has given us a simple, detailed and consolidated view of information, meaning we can spot trends quickly.”

Movex is the specialist logistics platform for trade vehicle movements, connecting the UK’s largest network of transport providers with the people that need them and giving users complete control over transport costs. Logistics suppliers bid for business via the platform on a reverse auction basis. Dealerships then choose the provider that’s right based on cost, experience or feedback rating.
