  • Manheim Auction Services’ new Gloucester super centre is open and getting ready for its first sale event on Thursday 24 October.
  • Over 600 units of vans, trucks and plant will be available to purchase through physical auction or Simulcast on the day.
  • It’s the beginning of a new fortnightly sales programme, that will bring LCV and HGV stock together for an unparalleled in-lane auction experience.

Manheim Auction Services, part of Cox Automotive, is launching its new fortnightly sales programme at its Gloucester super centre on Thursday 24 October at 10am.

The experienced and skilled team has officially opened the gates to process stock ahead of the first multi-channel sale event. There are over 600 units expected to drive through the lanes on 24 October, with circa £6.5 million worth of vans, trucks and plant available to buy from a total of 48 vendors.

Matthew Davock, Director of Commercial Vehicles for Manheim commented: “We’ve been overwhelmed by positive feedback from our customers since we announced the opening of Gloucester as a new dedicated commercial vehicle site in the southwest.

“The fortnightly sale programme will bring a new and exciting dynamic to the van, truck and plant auction world, and we’ve lined up a brilliant first sale with almost 50 vendors selling over 600 units on the day. We’re all really excited to welcome buyers online and on site on 24 October, and to launch our event-style sale.”

Stock will be available to buy from dealer and fleet companies such as Novuna, Arval, Zenith, VWFS, Hendy, Enterprise, DPD, Avis, Lombard and many more. The two asset classes will be auctioned simultaneously, with all vehicles being available to view before the sale, before being driven through the lanes. Buyers can attend in person, or online using Simulcast.

Rob Atkinson, Director of HGV & Industrial for Manheim said: “We can’t wait to bring back live lane auctions for our trucks and plant machinery. Our new sales event programme gives buyers the opportunity to view the stock they’re bidding for on site, before returning for the physical sale, or using our trusted Simulcast platform to bid at a location most convenient for them. It’s a true multi-route to market, and the first of its kind in the UK.

“Over the last year, we’ve seen truck volumes and customer interest grow significantly, and we’re excited to officially open our dedicated drive-through auction site to continue demonstrating that Manheim Auction Services continues to lead the market.”

The 9-acre super centre is located off the M5 near Dursley, Gloucestershire. For more information on the sales programme and how to register as a buyer, visit manheim.co.uk.
