FT Future of the Car is just a few days away and Cox Automotive will be there as a lead sponsor with a team of curious and engaged people eager to listen, learn, contribute and network.

From experience, we know we’re in for three days of the highest quality insight and discussion. FT Future of the Car is unique in its ability to gather the most senior leaders from across the automotive spectrum, from OEM CEOs to experts from across the value chain, to those pioneering the technologies of tomorrow.

Here are five things from the packed agenda we’re eagerly awaiting:

1. Listening to the views and stories of the Presidents and CEOs of BYD, Nissan, Volkswagen, SEAT and CUPRA, Peugeot, General Motors, Hyundai, Lucid and Ford (to name a few). A spectacular line-up of global automotive OEM leaders, appearing in person or on live video link, being expertly interviewed by the FT’s team of journalists.

2. Meeting customers, peers and partners, old and new, face-to-face. Nothing beats a physical event, especially one that’s carefully curated, well-attended and purposeful. We have a strong team attending, including Craig Mailey, Karoline Baumann, Sam Panayides, David Gray, Michael Stewart, Stacy Pepworth, Jon Hilton and Antonia Stephenson. Details on how to connect are below.

3. Joining in the discussion. We have two Cox Automotive leaders taking part in panel discussions on day one. In the morning, Strategy Director Karoline Baumann will join leaders from Allianz Partners, Group Lotus and Verizon Business Group to discuss changing consumer behaviours. And in the afternoon, Chief Strategy Officer, Craig Mailey will explore the role of circular supply chains in the age of the net zero car alongside leaders from Stellantis, Volvo Group, Hydro and Glencore.

4. Hearing about the latest thinking and innovation in electric vehicle battery technology. EVs were, understandably, the dominant topic of conversation last year, and this year is unlikely to be any different. Speakers include OEMs, next-generation battery manufacturers, legislators, scientists, and engineers, but we think Mate Rimac, CEO of Rimac Group and world-renowned EV visionary, in conversation with the FT’s Peter Campbell will be worth the ticket price alone.

5. Learning more about where we are on the road towards autonomous vehicles. Not long ago, this was a concept that felt lightyears away from reality. But huge technological leaps have been made, AI is now real, and trials are taking place across the world. FT Future of the Car is where the experts gather to share their experiences and predict the future.

If you’re attending, we’d love to connect. You can find our team on Brella, the event’s mobile app.

We’ll be sharing our takeaways from FT Future of the Car shortly after the event – stay tuned for more!
