With the governments for all regions of the UK now having published details of their ‘roadmaps’ for the easing of lockdown measure, we would like to provide the following update for our UK customers.

All Cox Automotive UK business areas remain open for business. In the immediate term, there is no change in any areas. Our highest priority remains the safety and wellbeing of all employees, customers, contractors and suppliers and we continue to operate remotely where possible, and with robust COVID-secure processes where colleagues are on site or interacting with customers.

We continue to rigorously monitor, enforce and review these measures to ensure they remain fit for purpose and will make changes as and if required.

Updates for Cox Automotive UK respective business areas, effective as of Tuesday 23rd February 2021:

Manheim Auction Services – Our Simulcast online auction programme continues on a ‘click and collect’ basis and our Accelerate customer support programme remains in place. All auction sites remain closed to buyers and vendors expect for pre-arranged vehicle collections. The team are reviewing the new guidance and will provide further updates on a return to opening sites for viewings and physical auctions in due course.

Manheim Vehicle ServicesOur MVS business is continuing to operate using well-established COVID-secure working processes. We are working closely with customers to ensure processes are aligned, in particular with regards to vehicle collections and handovers.

Manheim Inspection Services – We have robust COVID-secure processes in place and are continuing to work closely with customers to action inspection and collection jobs in a safe and appropriate manner. The team continue to monitor government guidance and will evolve their operating model as and when it is appropriate and safe to do so.

Movex - Movex has been helping customers to continue moving their vehicles throughout the pandemic. Active transport providers are operating within government guidelines in respect of social distancing, sanitisation and safeguarding.

NextGear Capital – NextGear Capital is operating as usual and there are no changes in terms of how dealers can use their facility to fund vehicles. The head office team continue to work from home and the field team remains in place, operating within COVID-secure guidelines and supporting customers with their individual needs.

Dealer Auction – The Dealer Auction team continue to work from home. Buyers are encouraged to liaise carefully with sellers to ensure they are arranging collections that are safe and in line with the guidance at that time.

Modix and eVA Valuations & Appraisals – all team members are working from home and both businesses are operating as usual, supporting customers with their click and collect digital sales capability and programmes.

Money4YourMotors – our car buying team remains operational with team members working to COVID-secure guidelines to keep themselves and customers safe. 

The situation remains dynamic and as before, we will continue to monitor and respond to UK government and local government guidance and what’s right for our team members. We will issue further updates as appropriate.
